Experimental Sites
Experimental sites are the organizational units for carrying out a part of the teaching process (i.e., the exercises and professional practicums), scientific research, and professional work within the Faculty’s activities and for the needs of international cooperation.
The work of an Experimental Site is organized and managed by an Experimental Site Manager. A teacher holding a scientific-teaching academic title, an associate holding a professional academic title, a senior professional associate, or a professional advisor can be appointed Head of an Experimental Site. The Head of an Experimental Site is appointed by the Dean for a biennial mandate. The same person can be reappointed as manager. The Head of an Experimental Site is responsible for his or her work to the Dean.
Since 2012, when the Faculty purchased 33,603 m2 in Mandićevac (Đakovo vineyard) with a purpose of establishing an Experimental Site for the students of the University Undergraduate Study Program in Horticulture and of the University Graduate Study Program in Fruticulture, Viticulture, and Viniculture, with a major in Viticulture and Viniculture, the areas have been significantly increased, and today there are 632,246 m2 in total, situated on three locations.
